We have not tested the Gobi Rack yet. Below is a conversation in regards to the Gobi Rack

I think this could go 2 or 3 different directions.
1. If you could do a small size u-bolt or make a cradle for the back side that could wrap arounf the GOBI rack tubing and then bolt up to your bracket like you have pictured with the bolts already, they would. For the price of the GOBI mounts ($129-149) for just one side, this would be a good way to go if you only kept them mounted for trails, etc. The one upside to the GOBI mounts is that the screw on caps that hold the clamping bars for the accessories in place are lockable, so, you can leave things on and not worry about them getting ripped off.

2. If someone has the GOBI hilift mounts already, they might be able to save some $$ by adding this set up to hold some more items directly on the GOBI mounted hi lift jack and not buy the other set of mounts. For $65 your price, you can't go wrong here compared to the GOBI cost.

3. I have my shovel and either an axe or a pick axe mounted to one side of the rack at all times and my hilift on the other side. I have often wished I could have all three mounted at the same time (shovel + axe + pick axe). Your set up gives the versatility to add one to the highlift and keep things up and out of the way. Again - only potential downside here is you can;t keep it up there permanently if you live somewhere it might get ripped off...but, it's easy mount on and off.

Response: I like your thinking. I'm picturing a good solution for the guy who removes his rack, when not wheelin. If he had the Gobi Hi-lift mount, he could mount three tools in the time it takes to mount one
